For lack of better names, here’s the Simplicity Workout. Very quick and simple to do and doesn’t need a lot of equipment. Check the vid for a demonstration and let me know if you have any questions about it.

The workout in a nutshell:

1 Min jump rope
5 Handstand push ups (HSPUs)
10 Standard push ups
10 Jump squats
5 Half burpees

– Completed for at least 5 sets (do more if you’re able to. I got 7 sets on my first try with this workout.)

– If you’re unable to do HSPUs then change the routine so that you are either doing negatives (slowly going down to the bottom position) or taking HSPUs out completely and doing 15-20 standard push ups with the rest of the circuit.

Give me a shout if you have questions!

So I made this training event a few weeks ago, and decided I wanted to get more people to try it out.

BEAST MODE CHALLENGE makes a comeback on November 13, 2010. Same time (9am), same location (Huron Park, Mississauga).

I’m not superstitious at all, but I figure since it’s the 13th I may as well put a work out together that makes you feel unlucky while you’re doing it ;). That’s my personal trainer charm speaking.

The workout:

10 burpees
20 set mountain climbers (2 kicks = one set)
10 push ups
10 box jumps

Beginner = 3 sets, Intermediate = 4-6 sets, Advanced = 7-10+.

NOTE: if you’re doing more than 10 sets of this then why are you even looking at this site? Must be the music (see end of post).

Both myself and a friend of mine were only able to get 6 sets in today, both of us with our own reason. 10 is definitely doable with good determination.
