2013 - accapella dance

Hey Readers!

I uploaded a few videos from a practice I had about a week ago. I’d taken a month off from dancing because school has been a little bit hectic. I’ve been focusing more on weight training and conditioning over that time as well (as you may have seen in one my previous posts). I needed the opportunity to break the routine (no pun intended) and move differently.

Been busy in hiding and training. Over the last few weeks I entered some battles (one all-styles and another house battle) and was lucky enough to get some footage from one of them. If you look closely you’ll see a few shots of me bouncing around in a turquoise hat (specifically at the 3:27 mark).  The highlight reel brought to you by the Moon Runners.

PEACE!

Take a look at this extended clip from K-os’ “Man I Used To Be” music video. I’ve always liked the scene, but never really looked deeper into it until I accidentally stumbled the extended dance sequence. Its a good thing I decided to make a category for house dance. Every once in a while you come across a really talented group of dancers. Serial Stepperz  are a fairly new crew and they’ve been doing some big things not only in their native France, but in North America as well. 2 months back they posted this vid while they were in New York.

Enjoy!

PS: A quick reminder… Beast Mode Challenge: 2nd Opportunity is this Saturday (that’s tomorrow morning!). Don’t forget to register via email at bboymetaflex@hotmail.com.

The title says it all!  Diana Reyes aka Fly Lady Di put together an amazing display of her choreography skills at the Dusk Dances in Toronto this past weekend. I really wish that I was able to see this performance live. The performers did an really good job in being a part of this.

PS: I’ve made this a stem from the bboying category since my attention to house dance came from bboying, but its a very different dance style. Its just as dynamic and  just as artistic, but a different way of moving.

PEACE!

MF!
