I used this one today as a finisher for my weight training. Its not really a cool-down, but it definitely gets your body temperature up so you can finish with decent amount of stretching. It also works well on its own.

10 half burpees

10 push ups

20 mountain climbers (10 kicks each leg)

5 supermans/swimmers (5 second holds)

As a workout on its own: 5-10 sets

As a finisher: 3-5 sets (I did 5 sets today :D)

This series of videos from Ido displays the main goals I have in training my ability to move. He has a (really good) tendency to display moves that are extremely simple in its philosophy and execution, but he does it with a sense of self-awareness and self control that most individuals struggle to develop. The other thing that amazes me about Ido is his ability to create a symmetry that carries through all of his movements. Even when he does more complex skill sets, he does it with the emphasis that it should be done equally as well on either side. This ties into the idea of a complete martial artist being able to execute a skill equally as well on his “weak” side as if it were his strong side.

Hopefully you’re inspired by seeing this just as much as I am.

Its a good thing I decided to make a category for house dance. Every once in a while you come across a really talented group of dancers. Serial Stepperz  are a fairly new crew and they’ve been doing some big things not only in their native France, but in North America as well. 2 months back they posted this vid while they were in New York.

Probably one of my favourite battles to watch when I get bored and run out of youtube videos to look at. Best part is at around 4:40 in the vid.
